The Commodore B128 from the Amiwest Show

CBM-II goodness

Underneath the machine
The ports in back
Close-up of the ports
C= even stamped on the styro!

At the October Amiwest Show 2013 in Sacramento, California, I obtained a B128 with 8050 drive, cables, and software. What a surprise to pick up 8-bit stuff at an Amiga show! Perhaps the attendees aimed their attention at me, because I was wearing my "I Adore My 64" pinback button. :)

Just photos of the computer for now,

February FCUG meeting

Two Amigas, one C128D, and a VIC-20 (off-camera)
Lots of activity at the computers

At the February 16 meeting of the Fresno Commodore User Group, we had our usual lunch, and then it was time to work on the Commodore computers.  That took awhile!  :)

Computer Station taking offers for the business

Knocking at the door
The south wall of software
The north wall of hardware
Some of the goods for repair in back
NOS and used C64 power supplies

As reported at http://blog.retro-link.com/2014/01/computer-station-closing-in-long-beach.html , Computer Station, the venerable Commodore storefront in Long Beach, California, is shutting its doors. Owner Anthony Chai is taking offers from serious buyers.  His asking price is $10K, but that price is negotiable.  For the money, the buyer would get all software and hardware in the store.  Most likely, several people and a very big moving van (U-Haul or other) would be best to pick up all the materials. Contact Tony at his cell phone number which is available by doing a Google search for Computer Station Long Beach.

Successful January SCCAN and FCUG meetings

Richard G. shows off the NOS Logo for the Plus/4
(l to r) Alex C., Richard G., Dan L., Matt B., Robert B.
(l to r) Richard C., Greg, Louis

We had very successful January meetings for SCCAN and FCUG.  A variety of topics were discussed. Machines were investigated.  Software was examined.  The first two photos are from the SCCAN meeting.  We had a visit from Alex Carmona, OS 4.1 beta tester, and he even remarked that he might bring a beta Cyrus board (if it comes in time) for the March SCCAN meeting.  The NOS software shown in the first two photos is courtesy of Computer Station in Long Beach.  The last photo is from the FCUG meeting.  Members Greg and Louis are shocked when Richard C. brings in a pile of Amiga game disks to give away.
